the wrestler formerly known as Kaitlyn in WWE, Celeste Bonin made history today becoming the first-ever Slammforce Africa Women’s Champion.
Celeste faced off against the longest-reigning Ladies Champion in South African wrestling history, Black Widow as well as the newest IMPACT Wrestling Knockout Katie Forbes.
Slamforce Africa is the first and only premier wrestling promotion on the African Continent and this show marked the company’s first-ever event. The show streamed live on FITE.TV.
After retiring in 2014 Kaitlyn returned to the independent scene in 2017 for Coastal Championship Wrestling where she defeated Rachael Ellering in singles action.
Kaitlyn would make her return to WWE for the first time in four and a half years as one of the participants to compete in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament. In her first match back, Kaitlyn defeated Kavita Devi in the first round match, but she was eliminated in the second round by Mia Yim.
