As reported yesterday, the reigning NWA World Women’s Champion, Jazz vacated the title ahead of this Saturday’s Crockett Cup event in North Carolina due to personal and health reasons.
Due to the title being vacated Allysin Kay was left without an opponent for the event.
The National Wrestling Alliance announced today via social media that Santana Garrett would be Kay’s new opponent and that a new NWA World Women’s Champion would be crowned at the event.
Garrett is a former NWA World Women’s Champion, having a 314 day reign with the belt after defeating Barbi Hayden for the title back in 2015 before losing the title to Amber Gallows in a four way elimination match.
